The Work of Exceptional People:

Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago (ESMC) is
building
a new $32,000,000 Therapeutic School and Center for Autism Research in
the Illinois Medical District (IMD) that will help meet the needs
created by the explosive growth in autism.
This unique facility will be the only one of its
kind to combine on a single campus educational, research, training,
early intervention, school-to-work transition and independent living
capabilities. Nowhere else in the country will this “continuum”
of
services for children with autism be so well integrated at a single
campus facility.
Actors for Autism is a
non-profit organization comprised of individuals in the
entertainment industry who are dedicated to the advancement,
education and
exposure of people on the autistic spectrum.
At Autism Speaks, our goal is to
change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.
We
are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes,
prevention, treatments, and cure for
autism; to raising public
awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and
society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of
this disorder. We are committed to
raising the funds necessary to
support these goals.

The Barbara Sinatra Children's
Center at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA has been
a
voice for sexually, physically and emotionally abused children since
Barbara
and Frank Sinatra opened the nonprofit state-of-the-art facility in
1986.
When the Center opened, the Sinatras promised that no child who needs
help
would be turned away due to inability to pay for services. People
throughout
the world have lined up with Barbara and Frank Sinatra to affirm their
pledge.

The Tutor/Mentor
Connection
(T/MC) Mission: To gather and organize all that is known about
successful
non-school tutor/mentor programs and share that knowledge to expand the
availability and enhance the effectiveness of these services to
children
in inner city Chicago and other poverty areas.
